Transience

The early morning dew is like a refreshing coating of moisture, a rejuvenating spritz, a field of scintillating rainbow sparkle, sunlight dancing in youthful joy.  Then, it is gone. 

Unlike winter frost, early morning dew cools gently. Unless you walk barefoot through the grassy meadows at dawn, you may miss the fleeting moment.

Today, be open for refreshing energy, perhaps while pondering in a sleepless night. The field, so kindly covered in dew, will tend to be inward where only the individual can find and meet thoughtfulness.

In quiet, solitary moments, an idea… a sense of know-how… can cool a worried mind. 

Waning Moon: good time for cleansing and cleaning up.

Good time for mindfulness practice where soft attentiveness drinks the dew from each moment. Suzuki Roshi said, “When hot; perspire. When cold; shiver.” The moment is transient, as is human being when, through inspection and the blanket of awareness, the moment changes from now to this now to now, like the morning dew.
