Recognition

Recognition is a tonic.

To recognize is to regard another with eyes that say, “I see you, and when I see you, gratitude surges within me like a fount of feelings … sprays of admiration, pooling of respect and a well of blessings”.

Under what circumstances would a crowd… the crowd, the public, the collective, the ‘they’, whoever they are… come down to listen to one man? In sacred terms, perhaps a possible inversion of the sermon on the mount. In profane terms… well, popular culture, with its complex of addictive needs provides many examples.

Being seen, heard, recognized is so crucial for the human journey. If you have been holding back for some reason or other, consider today a great day to nod approval.
