Up, then down

A cup of courage can lift a man or woman to heights from which things seem so possible as to not ever be denied. Confidence can soar like chickens over the barn after a feed of sour mash. Enthusiasm can ignite imagination after a drop of Drink Me.

Drink me does not have to be liquid. It can come in the form of flirtation, a message, a proposal, or a sudden flash of intuition.

Alas, what goes up, comes down. 

If one treads cautiously… one cup instead of three… whatever is under consideration can eventually succeed.  Usually, this symbol expression brings intoxicating enthusiasm to the halls of cold harsh reality. Today, not so harsh.

A mind full of ideas, each exploding with a million possibilities, which then erupt again: it may be impossible to write all of these great notions down. For some, an exciting and brainstorming time; for others, a sleepless night with a mind like a wild beast in the West. 

The day can work well as long as initial enthusiasms are curbed with sober, let’s-think-again-tomorrow, reflection.
