Trust

Distrust can devour confidence. 

Having written a personal letter, you fold it, slip into an envelope, then leave it unsealed on your writing desk. Walking away, you engage in regular daily activities, unless the idea that someone might open your letter begins to grow in imagination. Once that thought begins to stir, it can devour you.

That there are those who have betrayed your trust does not mean that, therefore, you should walk through life distrusting. On the contrary, trust in life. What it is you most desire lies available, perhaps folded and enveloped somehow, yet open and unsealed. 

Today, most, if not all, big deals… big emotionally charged deals… will turn out to be duds. Imagination can runaway with common good sense. Yet another very changeable day that will see dramatic shifts in tone of events. Be patient: a disaster in the morning can turn out to be nothing at all by evening.
