Nurture

It takes great aeronautic skill to hover long enough so as to be able to feed from an extended hand. The albatross is the most graceful of soaring birds when in flight; the most awkward of creatures when on land. One would think it takes extraordinary effort to hold in airborne position long enough to feed.

To be nurtured by the hand of others is a wonderful human gift. To receive nurture suggests that one give in nurturing ways as circumstances permit. In social and cultural terms, many feed from the hand… such as a job, so-called social benefits, media devices of instant gratification… that holds them close, and therefore, tends to deny the space in which to spread wings and soar.

Today, there is an opportunity for major change. The tendency to see obstacles instead of opportunities could shift. It is as if the gift you extend to others without condition, allows all to spread their wings and fly.

That is the best gift ever!
