Pause

Imagine a classroom. The students are chattering in animated, if somewhat disorderly ways, when the professor wordlessly peers over his glasses. The room falls silent.

Imagine during a lecture, a professor carefully builds the edifice of his ideas until, reaching a palpable conclusive crescendo, he peers over his glasses with a pregnant pause.

This lecture is a work of art. It seduces the listener with carefully spelled words and ideas woven together with musicality and entrancing rhythm. Then, as all are now on the edge of their seats in anticipation of the climax, the storyteller pauses, peers over his glasses. In this delicious moment everything comes together. All tacitly know and realize what is being said. It is as if the last line in a story does not need to be read aloud.

In business affairs, the sale is clinched. In relationship matters, accord is welcomed. What seemed an impossible journey, now removes the trappings of possibility for the pleasures of  being realized.
