Overheard

Overhearing something you were not meant to hear nor did intentionally set out to hear, is a likelihood today. A conversation overheard while shopping may be an example of this, however, this kind of overhearing is rather low level parroting.

Consider the voice, the song, that comes from beyond the apparent world. The voice of one’s call in life; the whispers of spirit received in clairaudience; your muse, my daemon: are these not the chance of hearing that change a life?

"Sing to me O muse of the man of many ways…”. Thus begins Homer in the Odyssey.

“Thus I have heard…” So opens many buddhist texts such as the Lotus Sutra.

And the Rishis of the Vedas are called seers, yet their vision pours like liquid from a higher realm. 

What if these are not extraordinary experiences reserved for the esoteric few? What if as we walk through our day, we sense a pressure, a sounding like an atmospheric change pressing upon the diaphanous membrane that separates us from a dimension beyond our wildest imagination?
