“Indians making camp” Scorpio 26 Sabian Sage © 2016 Blain Bovee boveeastrology.com This Sabian symbol is illuminated at 5:27 PM EST November 16 Itinerate This image expresses the way in which each and every day one creates a lived-reality. Like nomadic tribes, to make camp is to take everything in… safety, shelter, food, water and how it is with any others near the new camp ground. In every situation, man must be on guard against forces of inferior ways of being. First, one must be wary of seeing inferior traits as evil, as if we are all in a grandiose struggle of good against evil. How others are branded in our own minds can be a nasty trap. Therefore, employ strength and friendliness to begin. Next, realize that appreciation of our own shortcomings is the motivation to seek a superior way of living. From this position, we can make camp. Most importantly, to take up arms against what is perceived as inferior or evil, is to become entangled in hatred and petty passion. The superior individual can never win such a battle, for by so engaging, he becomes one of the crowd, and the crowd by definition can never choose for itself. Therefore, even in the face of a flood of inferior influences, begin at home. When the external world seems to have taken a nasty turn for the worse, make camp. The itinerate man begins anew each day. The weapons of inferiority are dulled when the individual is not at war with himself. His words, then, do not spit the poisons of disdain, although some light humour will be of general help. The itinerate man sees entanglements with inferior ways, often a result of habituation, as his own issue and is, therefore, ready to move on if need be.
