This Sabian symbol is illuminated at 1:39 PM EDT September 29 Readiness There are times, perhaps more spaces of temporal disposition, which seem strikingly ready to receive. The pond is ready to receive the flock of wild fowl; the oven, having come up to temperature, is ready to receive food; the house, with its blazing fireplace; is ready to be home and hearth. Readiness is like this: an odd sense of being an abandoned wasteland, yet one so open and fraught with possibility. Today, watch for feeling expressed by Thoreau as “into what seeming deserts the poet is born”. Others may see the Sahara, while you see paradise. Rameau sits atop a large boulder, his eyes bathing the thorny chaparral while neighbours ensure his solitude by running to forests of hungry ghost consumer hell. To be deserted, of course, brings up that empty barren feeling sometimes fostering resignation and giving up. Yet, it is also joining with that space wherein the potency lies. Do not give up. Prepare your home as if expecting royalty, spiritual friends and divine beings to visit. Not so much, “build it and they will come”… rather, ready it and you will arrive. Great day to blaze your own trail. Burn brightly, not for others, but for who you desire to be. In order to host others, you must first be hospitable to your own self beyond who you think you are.
