A canal is a kind of trench through the passage of water is controlled.

A canyon is a natural canal. It is a geological formation that, when a storm comes, gathers up falling rain into a wild river wash which is both awesome to see, and dangerous to be near. A man trapped in a desert canyon during a storm, for example, will soon find that it is more than he can handle.

Today, energies gather like water through a pressure hose. When directed for constructive purposes, this can be a very good thing. The shape of things is fast and fluid… think of aunty Flo braving a water slide. Also, the urge to pack up the bags and head out for parts unknown is strong. 

Moon swells like run-off in a canyon: it will need to have somewhere to go. It furthers the superior man to have somewhere to go.
