Inspiration: Driving into the airport, the sign "Terminal Parking" seemed more of an ominous warning than an indication of a convenience.
Today: It may strike you as somehow different, even though the words are exactly the same. A little shift in tone, a slight emphasis on this word or that: how can meaning change so dramatically all of a sudden?
It may be a fun and humorous exercise. Drama students can deliver completely different meanings by emphasizing a different word in a simple line such as "You went with him?"
In real life situations however, it may not seem a game. Words and messages that have long meant one thing may now be heard to mean something else entirely. Emphasis. Blain Bovee
