Today: To get everyone into the spirit of things takes a little cunning. Few are moved by reason; many are moved by smell and scent. Think of the males of any species: certain scents of a female in heat is extremely motivating.
Presenting rational arguments on the other, may have a very small chance for convincing. Baking some bread, singing an old tune, creating pleasant aromas…. these things will motivate many to get into the spirit.
